time passes so fast and i realised it is december!!!

i've not even ate enough yet in november!! why do i say so? bcoz novemeber is my birthday month and i allow myself to indulge in everything under the sky during this month. comes december, portion control kicks in. diet diet!!! 24 days to xmas, and another month to CNY.

WITH time passing by us so quickly, i come to realise that.. time waits for no one. so does life. it has come to a point that i treasure every moment i have in my hands. every minute i am able to think of someone, to miss somone and to Love someone. and every ability to tell someone i love them.

i've always lived by this :

if you love someone, tell them.
if you miss someone, tell them.
if you wanna laugh, laugh loud.
if u wanna cry, cry all u want.
if u wanna binge, just do it!

2011 is coming to an end... have you loved enough? have you laughed enough?

have you told that one person "you love him/her"?

do it now. treasure every minute you have. u will live a happier person.

i'm sure what u are bout to read is nothing new to most of us. in fact it is one of those things we face day in day out of our lives.

have u ever experienced that pain in your heart when you lose that one precious thing in your heart only to realise it's true value to you. Most of these gets overlooked because it is sooo close to us that we do not see it's worth.

i'm referring to a special person in your heart specifically.

Many of these special ones in our lives live closely to us. u interact with them almost all the time.. the bond could never get any stronger coz the both of u could click so well! but more often than not, these are the people who will eventually find what they are looking for leaving us to realise how precious were they to us but now that u have to make a decision to let it go or to take them back??

my conclusion is... people always take things for granted, taking people around them for granted,

those that loves u,
that cares for u,
that has been there lending a shoulder to u,
being there for u when u rant,
cutely dozing off everytime trying to listen to you complaining bout your deemed-overweight 40kgs on the scale,
those that has to bear with your awful cooking,
that still hugs you after u screaming at them,
those who still say you r lovely even you look like crap from severe food poisoning,
those who love that natural bare face of yours,
that loves you for just the way you are......

we should always treasure the people around us. LOVE while u can. do not wait till it is too late to realise how precious are they and losing them to other people. that is when crying is too late.

5 love languages

after having read the book "5 love languages" by Gary Chapman

i finally understood more about realtionships.
what makes 2 person so in love with each other.
what makes 2 person questioning one another's..

finally know what has went wrong in past relationships,
what kept me going..
what made me pissed.

if you have no idea what is this freaking "love language" i am talking about...

Gary Chapman basically says that each of us speaks different 'love' language.
just like the languages that we speak daily, regardless english malay or chinese, we all have our mother tongue. My mother tongue is cantonese to start with and if i were to converse cantonese to a malay, would he understand?

Yup.... you got it right! answer in NO HE WOULD NOT!!

this is exactly what Gary was trying to say, each of us speaks different LOVE languages.
one that is probably not understood by another! (like my canto n malay example)
the purpose of this book is to remind us, teach us to speak our partner's love language. if he is a malay, we speak to them in malay!! no chinese?!!! get it?
if we dont speak THEIR language, they WOULD NEVER GET IT. and this leaves them being puzzled, not a single clue.

so..
let's get to the 5 love languages.

they are:
a) Words of Affirmation
b) Gifts
c) Acts of Service
d) Quality Time
e) Physical Touch

learning the art of speaking your partner's love language is to make them feel loved emotionally.
To know how to fill up their love tank, leaving them always full, never empty. if you only care about speaking your own language (eg keep conversing chinese to a malay) , your partner would NEVER understand you. he will find u a nuisanse instead! you will end up not filling his love tank, hence he will feel unloved and that will be the start of all relationship problems.

everyone in a relationship wants to be loved, feel loved and be understood.

What is a personal space?

Definition according to dicitonary:
The physical space immediately surrounding someone, into which any encroachment feels threatening to or uncomforatble for them

Definition in wikipedia:
Is the region surrounding a person which they regard as psychologically theirs. Invasion of it often leads to discomfort, anger or anxiety on the part of the victim.

i've always believed in the respect of another party's personal space.
Especially when it comes to 2 different sex. It is very important to pay attention to the comfort level of the other person.

I get really pissed when my personal space is invaded, PARTICULARLY when a guy who wants to get close towards me but not realising that i am not comfortable enough for him to stand even 4 ft from me.

a few guidelines of respecting personal space that i believe guys should pay a lil more attention
ESPECIALLY when going on first dates:

a) Her room

NEVER step into her bedroom UNLESS she permits.
Bedroom to a girl is her comfort/private zone where she feels most naked and herself.
i mean.... we are totally NOT comfortable with you seeing our bra's hangin behind the door, or our many photoframes on table which u end up asking "who, who, who...??"

For some, it cud be their princess zone! So.. as simple as... no frogs in it pls!

read her body language, if you're in her room, and you're speaking to her but she has no eye contact wt you, or she is sitting away from you....she is NOT COMFORTABLE.

To me, if a guy steps into my room without my cue, he is sooooo gone. don't u read 'privacy'??

b) Cinema

Always sit straight with your hands disciplinly kept to your arm rest. A guy who likes a girl always subconsciously sit with his posture being slanted towards the girl but bear in mind it is your first date. You do not know what the girl is thinking and you do not wanna appear too touchy (even if the touch was accidental)
Remember, the arm rest is not very wide afterall... it is ... well.... an ARM REST. with the width of an ARM'S WIDTH! it is a considerably small space and some girls would like to keep that to themselves and not having a guy invading into it with his half body leaning on it and screws her mood for the next 60mins of movie.

u might ask.. what if she don't mind? what is her cue?
SIMPLE guys. she herself will lean and make comfortable .
other than that, keep your hands to yourself!

I, for some reason, do not like touchy guys and many of them has turned me off soooo badly.

i've had some experiences in the cinema itself! one with his hands keep caressing my arms and the other with his head almost at my headrest!

i do not give a shit care if your primary love language is physical touch but my space is my space.

c) Food

NEVER touch her food with your hands!
omg.. that's food-hygiene-commonsense !
yes, you might be out eating banana leaf rice the authentic way.. which is using hands . but that doesnt mean u can put a drumstick on her leaf with your curry soaked fingers! guys!! what were you thinking?!

but if i like you, i wudnt mind you even chewing off the skin for me ... but on the first date??? c'mon... cutleries are there for a reason.

d) Our face

Regardless it is out of goodwill or not, if there's any foreign matter on our face, eg hair/eyelash/rice whatever....
just let us know where, we will remove it by ourselves. many girls loathe foreign hands touching their face.Our skin is very personal.... not for public touch.
you will know she is uncomfortable when she dodge her head when you try to put your hands near her face. NEVER reattempt pls.

if the girl is interested @ likes you, all the above STILL APPLIES but with exceptions ..coz by that time the girl would have cued you to do the reverse.

i have always believed in the comfort-of-touch.

a person once told me;

"how do you know if it is true love?.... It is thru the comfort of touch"

the feeling of your skin touching each other. the non fear.. the no-sexual-tension
just that easy feeling is enough to make you realise that love is presence.

Just in the bus today i saw this old couple, how she comfortably lean over to her partner's neck to whisper and talk...so comfortable with her breath into her partner's skin.
that's true love.

if there isnt any comfort of touch, u might have to reconsider if he/she is the right one!
can u bear him holding your hand? or even a mere brush of the arm?
everyone's touch tolerance level is different but it goes back to as simple as being comfortable in his touch.

i love the way my darling holds my hand, how he clapse his hands into mine comfortably with my nerve endings feeling every inch of his 60yr old likened rough hands and English man likened huge palm :)

that's when i know it is true love.

it's really sweet when i browse through gf's photos, seeing people, husband and wives around you, or even looking back at past experiences, to realise that in a relationship, every single handmade cards, beautifully self-wrapped presents, surprises, the ever first-time-tiramisu, that lovely photoalbum made for both of you, that self-knitted scarf, IN GENERAL , those little handmade efforts are UNDENIABLY mostly made by the females.

i am not ashamed to say i'm guilty of it too!

we were born this way! we females were born wt artsy fartsy hands to always make things for you boys!

it is little things like this that makes the relationship sweeter. that girly teddy surprise on your bed wt your name on it... i know some guys would find it too girly to an extent. or they may just chuck aside that ugly teddy but hey!! that's just us being girls!

of course, with you bigboys being the ones who send us flowers, buying us expensive dinners, bringing us to that hilltop, lullabying us to sleep (lucky girls get 'em >.<), which plays a part in making the perfect combi too!

it is things like these that makes a relationship so unique. girls being all furryteddygirlypinky and boys being how russel peter puts it "be a man, do the right thing!"

So the next time a girl ever make you anything at all, just appreciate it and give them a peck on their forehead as it is these little efforts that makes us girls.

last night, i thought i saw an old friend but didnt have the guts to walk up to assure myself it was him because i wasn't in the best of shape (i thought) to say hi (if it was really him!)

in crappy jeans +shirt, pale face with uncombed tied up hair on a usual tuesday night,
i thought i'd pass.

The entire journey home was an uneasy one.
i thought to myself, i should have said hi.

Now that i did not greet this friend, i thought i had his contact; i cud text!
after i've scrolled thru both my phones, I DID NOT.
neither my friends did.

and at this very moment i wish i had walked up to him, greet a long lost fren of 10 years and taken his contact!

at the end of the day... it's not bout how we look when bumping into an old friend whom you've not met for 10 years...

it's not bout putting on your best dress, best hairdo with presentable madeup face.

Banana Leaf Rice

Family and I felt like doing banana leaf rice for dinner one night..

So... we decided to try Sri Paandi @ Petaling Jaya for the first time!

Service was good indeed.
The waiter was VERY EFFICIENT to lay the leaf and then the rice followed by the side vege!
The man was soooo fast that you barely have a second to tell him what you do not want haha!

pop-pop-pop... there you have it cabbage, ladyfingers, yoghurt cucumber and one more i forgotten which.

I like mine with KARI AYAM :)

Kari ayam, Kari ikan and dhal.

not forgetting Pappadam man!

i preferred their curry sotong than the fried ones pictured above.

personally,
if you're a person who can't do carb, PLEASE pass banana leaf rice!

Reason being:
because with your fav curry drenching your rice... you'll never be able to resist "tambah nasi boss" !!!!!
I totally adore my rice soaked with curry and that's the whole point!
Before u know it... u'll be in for the third round :)

Had my first dining experience at Dish by Delicious thanks to Mr. Chong.

It is located at Dua Annexe, Dua Residency, Jalan Tun Razak.
With a very cozy ambience.. dinner was indeed delightful. But due to the small dining space, reservations are recommended :)

Edward and I had a great time enjoying the food so i shall let the pics do the work!

Bread with butter@ oil & vinegar is a must!

Starter: Roasted juicy bone marrow with capers,parsley salsa and baguette.

It's first time for me.. it was rather RICH. in fact.. VERY RICH.
(don't even think of cholesterol) :p
but worth the try!

Red Wine definitely.
Am still learning to develop the palate for it.

Main: their signature chargrilled steak.

We had it with truffle butter. And a good 550gm shared by both.. yumm..

Waiter: How would u like your meat?
Us: Medium pls. :)

Dessert: Deconstructed Banana Split

Banana with Vanillaicecream, Peanut Butter cream, sweet almond crisps and chocolate sauce.

i liked it!

Complimetary desert: Chocolate Truffle and Passionfruit Marshmallow

It's a place worth the money and a good nite out for a great meal with great ambience and not forgetting great company.

turning another year older may freak most of us girls out
but to me... growing another year wiser is something i enjoy
and thats wat i call aging gracefully :)

on the day of 061110, i thank God for the wonderful blessing of me being able to spend my birthday wt all my loved ones.

friends who are so dear to me were also able to be there to spend the laughter and joy..

find it amazing how some people can be such unappreciative towards small denomination coins.

was at a shop when i overheard this salesgirl commenting about how "crazy" is the customer for paying her in "all 10 cents"

excuse you.... 10cents is not money ah?

it is not written in the law that a customer can't pay you with cents/coins. so whats your problem?

i think the younger generation should learn how to appreciate things around them. even if it's messiness of coins, it could be these 10cents coin that could save your life one day.

guys and cars and SPEED...
they always have to come in a package don't they?

to me.. guys who speed are a TURN OFF. Period.

A girlfriend and I were sharing stories when we came upon something in common which we had. when we are being passenger in the car, drivers always tell us to go to sleep while they dutifully bring us to the destination. But us being considerate girls would try to anyhow stay awake to keep our drivers company so that they do not feel alone rather should we say fall asleep!
But our considerateness are always taken by granted by some of these alpha male.. i wouldnt say all.

my girlfriend claims that her husbands speeds on the highway during long drive. And he would ask her to go to sleep and don't worry bout his driving! but she always can't! tell me which wife in the right state of mind would comfortably fall asleep while their husbands are speeding recklessly on the road? when she told me that, i totally felt for her.

For the drivers, words are easily said. They'd rather us be asleep than being a hindrance to their reckless driving especially SPEEDING. And i know a lot of girls out there faces the same situation but always never had the guts to say AND i can CONFIDENTLY say; when these girls do not dare to voice out.. the driver has gotta be their BOYFRIENDS. why must us girls be put through such distress? if u think that whoever that is driving is making you uncomfortable, you gotta voice it out. BECAUSE?

BECAUSE you are in that freaking same car as him!

if you do not dare to say or rather thought you'd just submit to the situation and let GOD handle it.. you're putting your life at risk and trashing your trust towards him into the bin.
i mean... GUYS can say "trust me! i can do this" (you mean speeding your a** off!)
but this is not how we girls should use our trust.
you wanna know how we should use our trust?
it's TRUSTING that you'd listen to our advice.

To be honest, to me...

i was a girl who BACK THEN always got complimented for not being fat no matter how much i ate . but as i got older today, such compliments are no longer close to ears!

but who cares!!

my body has evolve into a more mature looking sillhouete with better curves than i had when i was a teenager; better boobs and bums..yumm:)

but of course being a typical girl who is flashed by pages of stickthin models and celebs on the magazine will have at least some pressure on her wanting to look like them. but c,mon.. we girls grow throughout the years.. we go through adulthood!

of course undeniably,we have to take care of or own eating habits. i use to be able to eat every junk under the sky without worrying an inch of fats but today..?!!.... yes.. i can still eat them but in moderation partly because my metabolism rate has gone alil different compared to my teenage years and secondly, in consideration of my precious health..less sugar and oil is better isn't it?

that means... if youthink you're gonna have a major disaster calories-busting dinner with your gfs that night,go easy inthe morning and lunch so you can save those calories for a fun nite out wt your frens! dun come out pretending you are not hungry when we are indulging ourselves with pancakes drenched in warm maple syrupand whipped cream.. then we here you saying..'don't tempt me as i've been resisting it" kinda shit and then the next moment you in fact can finish a plate of pancakes yourselves...

just indulge and have fun... and then have a giant bowl of salad the next day!

they dun starve!

real girl rule #2 - WORK IT OUT

okay..now you've had 2 slices of cheesecake and a snickers bar and now your system feels so sluggish that it is making you feel sick. then girl, you should perhaps go for a jog outside or a walk in the park to make yourself feel better :) you dont have to run yourself 10km to shed that slice of cheesecake although the calculations say so.. i'll go crazy if i have to keep on comparing calories intake with minutes of run. you dont have to be that fanatic!

just sweat it out and then you can eat guilt free!

and i totally dun mean girls who are paranoid and runs after each apple she has had. -_-

girls... PARANOID is not cool.

real girl rule#3 - CONFIDENCE

a real girl is those with confidence and brings her beauty from within. u do not have to be stick thin to be pretty. just look at drew barrymore and scarlett johannson (kate moss do not apply here okay girls). U.DO.NOT.HAVE.TO.BE.STICK.THIN. u just have to have that confidence in you. all girls are pretty in their own ways. and trust me... curvy is the new sexy. no guys like no chest and no bums... it's all too flat!! where are those fats??!!

we just need to learn to love our own flaw.yes i admit i have big bums and thighs but isnt that better than girls who has so lil bum that they have to look for jeans at the children department?

you might have no boobs but u may have great legs!!
you may have smalleyes but you may have great asian smooth oliveskin!!
no body is perfect!
if everyone were.. then we would all be onthe runway lah...

& thank God for no europe flights this roster as i don't have to face flights distruptions and be put on stretch of standbys..

just saw a post on fb by my friend who said that he might not be able to come back from london!!
and another said sq cancelled their upcoming london flights!

as i checked cnn.com, only to find out European countries shut their airspace one after the other Thursday as a cloud of volcanic ash wafted over from Iceland and posed a danger to flights. The ash cloud came from an eruption of a volcano beneath Iceland's Eyjafjallajokull glacier early Wednesday.

the risk:

volcanic ash getting into engine, may cause engines to lose power which is generated to run the electrical system on board aircraft.

therefore many airspace are closed such as Ireland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and the Netherlands.

finally i get a taste of the original greek salad.

their salad was made out of really fresh and crisp vegetables and is served with a huge piece of feta cheese :) great great appetizer... freshest ever! freshness rating : 10!!

and who could have missed Greek yoghurt?
the ohsofamous superdooperthick yoghurt?
it was my great comfort food after a long day tour with a hungry tummy.
the original greek yoghurt was really different. it was nothing compared to those you get at supermarkets.

these are really thick and has texture like creamcheese. nothing near smooth.
it is thick, sticky & just yum.
and i had mine served with honey?
what more better combination can it get?

and of course the land of spartansandals.
this piece of fashion statement is proudly originated from greece.
msTina has yet to get a pair and probably will when i find the perfect pair.
they have great range of them and is allmade from leather.the real kind.
notlike those you get back home

manage to visit some of their attractions.
first day we went to the acropolis but it was closed for in-visit.so we only manage to take pics around the outside but the scenery was already so great. the old buildings, admirable architecture, structure and history. wow.

and on the second day, we took an island tour. we travelled on the cruise for 3 islands.
first we disembarked at Heidra island. great buildings architecture and view of the clear blue skies and being welcomed by really friendly people. Poros island was the second. rather small but another great view and mange to got some souveniers too!
We were suppose to do a 3rd island which is the largest, Aegina island, but unfortunately due to bad wind and really terrifying waves, the ship couldnt stop for it. we had to forgo that island so we did not get to see it at all!!!

overall, Greece is a wonderful place! one of msTina's recommendation :)

we did not get to visit Santorini this trip.i'll probably leave it for another time or even for my honeymoon! such beautiful place, who could miss??!!

cny is 2-freaking-weeks away and i'm still bingeing like a mad woman.

i should be getting ready my 2inches-less-waistline , gearing for the crazy cny food fuelling...
but all plan is *toot* up. what the heck.

manage to change all my flights away during cny period and it cost me a BOMB. got all the offs that i wanted and get to be back home kl for reunion. nothing worth more than a complete family sitting together for a cosy little reunion dinner. wt the happiness we get to share and the joy and big smiles when doing pictures.... i thank God.

not forgetting it's Vday as well. all the lovey doveys out there.... love one another more. all the single ladies leh? LOVE THYSELF MORE!! i'm definitely gonnna be pampering myself wt everything but a little kiss on my cheeks. maybe i'll get it from an angel above when i go to bed that night. :) and probably waking up to a bunch of roses beside my bed... ! *smiles*

Had my first try of the 'best-ribs-in-the-city' ribs at Cafe de' Klos, Amsterdam.

the place is cosy and has the concept of a small and traditional Dutch bar. service was alright and the food was great! i tried both the spare ribs and the smoked spare ribs. i prefered the 'original' spare ribs more than the smoked coz the latter was a lil too salty for me and it kinda covers the original taste of the meat. the ribs comes with dipping sauces and with the salad, it all went perfectly well. you've definitely gotta try their baked potatoes too.

first of all.. wishing all a happy and great 2010.

i received the new year with great fun and joy this year when i was in Amsterdam freezing away in the degrees of -2celcius and the falling snow wt great crowd and music for the countdown. eve's dinner was provided by the hotel and we spent a great night with some good wine and a great set of crew. a great way to end the past year with and a freezing way to receive the new.

during the countdown in town, with open stage concert and huge crowd.

just among the few of my set of crew whom are ALL NICE. :)

i thank God for the prosperity and joy that i had throughout the entire last year. i can assure u all i got real prosperous.. .. i mean 'physically' :P

too dry and "crumby".doesnt give you the feel of cupcakes, instead texture is more like muffin. :(

not rich enough, taste so-so, VERY LITTLE.

you get a ratio of cake:icing 80:20 (means: BAD)

ms.teo only agrees to 1part cake 1 part icing. (yes i do too!)

variety choice-

ok ok. includes basic choc ,vanilla, blackforest, coffee and uniquely jafar.

verdict: DISAPPOINTED.

for the love of food and being an ipoh girl,

dad drove us back to ipoh for a day's trip, with one purpose: FOOD.

was missing the taste of ipoh local food and delicacies and i finally get t do this crazy food trip!

this was the new FOH SAN dimsum which they have relocated
to a bigger vicinity, having a more spacious layout and more modern feel to it

charsiew pau is my MUST-EAT-ITEM when doing dimsum
besides that includes siewmai and the rest.

how could one miss egg custard when in ipoh??
must have this and can be found in most of the local coffee shops.

and my favourite rojak. my fav part of it?? - the rojak sauce in a separate bowl with lots of peanuts and chilipadi. kl should so do this.

and after a hot day... all i could spell is A.B.C
my own choice of peanuts, lots of them, redbean and some other cool stuff.
all topped with AIS (of course) and gula melaka!!!!!!!!

ps. ms tina was so busy eating till i didnt get the exact venue for all the featured food.

took a day trip to macau recently.

wit the main intention JUST for their almond cookies

as it's been a long while back when i last went there

impulsively, called a gf and MACAU it is!

hong kong and macau is easy to manouveur when u speak cantonese.
yes. ms tina do speak.
but she CANNOT READ CHINESE!!!!

dificulty for me was when i can't read wat's written on their signboards,
instead of checking out their displayed menu BEFORE goin into the restaurant, i had to go...

it seems that it is a first come first serve basis. they start selling them at 3pm and have fixed quantities a day. they are renown for its long que. so just go early and joing the que!!

the plain bun brings out the original flavour of the pork chop.

also available in : pork chop polo bun & porkchop toast.

greedy/kiasu ms.tina only wanted to que one time and for all so she ordered 3 buns at one go.
i can tell you.... one bun is filling enough. the porkchop is reasonably big, what more with the bun.

lol... but it makes a good snack back at the hotel when you are hungry :)

just tell the cab driver, they will bring you there as i'm also not too sure of the exact location.

just got back recently from my favourite place, hongkong.

weather was great. sunny days.

had an intensive few days of scouting around for local good food
my fav: local french toast.
nothing from spore or kl can be compared to them.
brought my buddy around for some dimsum
strolled along their busy streets and eventually bump into shops
and most importantly, manage to help darling get his suit buttons.
mission ACCOMPLISHED.

also was in san fran for few days and great sale going on.
knowing ms tina,
do you think she wud've not shopped?

surprisingly, YES.

don't know what got into me, i did not shopped for anything at all.
when i got back to spore, as i was unpacking,
i did not find a single piece of new dress or shoes or bag.. or even a single makeup.
hmm.. something is wrong wt me tina, u're thinking.

facial feautures so perfect you couldnt even find a single wrinkle or flaw.

now tell me which girl would not think of going under the knife?
to be honest..
i'm the first.

now let's get back to the girl that i met.

yes... if i could afford plasticsurgery,
i would HAVE GONE (years ago).
because when it comes to beauty..
i can't be bothered to think too much of side effect
who gives a shit bout side effect when you can have that angelina lips
and that sharp nose which us asians never had!

but come to think of it... it's not so much of the side effect.
it's how you'd look after that.

will you really be happy wt that enhanced part of your face?
will it even turn out like how you expected it to be?
will it still feels the same?

was in dubai and istanbul lately and i wud like to say
middle eastern cuisine are the BEST.
being similar to indian food,
having naans and mutton masalas and briyani...
it's irresistable.

not thinking of the time difference,
with that craving for chicken tikka
having dinner at spore time 4 am...
it's not a wise thing.

this constitutes to one CONCLUSION.

HK is fantastic. with local goodies, food, dimsum, nite markets and chinese ppl!!!

sfo is a great place to shop.

cant get my legs off those shops.. but cant do much due to limited time i have there.

had my first chance hands on on skiing!

minus the fact that i was the slowest among 4 of us ,
which we took a private ski lesson that cost us CHF 210.
and after 2 hours of practising, i still cant do one freaking turn.
haha so much for being born with an athletic structure yet not good with sports.

just got back from bombay
and if you did watch the news or papers.
there was this commotion and intercontinental the lalit hotel, bombay
on 21st jan09
which took place at the lobby..
that is exactly where i was, where the whole set of crew were.
we were just right there at our rooms when it happened.
thank god it wasnt anything major,
and we are now safely back in spore.
crew did hear the commotion, glass breaking and stuff...
but divatina was too tired she slept through out the whole noon hearing nothing
haha.. how ignorant.

had my room light fixed today.
as it was so dim all this while and landlord isn't helping wt it
time to take matters to my own hands
my unc was so nice he visited me today with a new fluorescent tube (ultra bright)
so he helped me fixed it!

i'm so glad the room is much brighter now.
i can't afford poor vision.
yikes.

had this famous hokkien mee at marine parade central hawker centre
it was really good and full of garlic and creamy and yumm..
but it was so filling i was practically full for the entire day
just had a jelly and a piece of cookie for dinner.

went out for some owntimeshopping today
and bumped into bossini sales.
bought my bro a pair of jeans and 2 shirts
i tot the sales was good.. 40% off!
divatina can never resist sales.. discounts.. rebates.. promos..
my hand'll get itchy.. real itchy

christmas mood is so ON!
decors everywhere, christmas songs everywhere..
everyone is out for gifts hunting
i started mine already.
gifts hunting is really fun.
you get to choose and pick, decide whether if the receiver would love 'em
then wrap it nicely and make it look as good as it can get
i love pressies!
especailly those well-wrapped.,....

had a rostered bangkok turnaround tomorrow
but as we all know wat situation is it now,
hence my flight is cancelled.

just got back from auckland today
been away for 4days
and it was my CTS flight.
got my check report and it was averagely OK.
not a FAIL thing.
thank god
but i got a NO for complying to safety .... oops..
my bad.. my first in fact

so so so exhausted and was just looking forward to comehome and take a good rest.
but to find out that my room got invaded by Mr. landlord to fix my aircon
call me sensitive or dramaqueen
but i still think that's an INTRUSION or INVASION watever you call it
and i was fuming!
i was so frustrated!
i just landed from a 10 freaking hours flt and the last thing i need to know is my room being intruded.
well... minus the fact that it was his good intention to help me fix the air con..
fine.
and he's the landlord of the house so he has the keys to my room.
fine.
i'm not around so he couldnt ask permission to go inside.
fine.

but..
..
wtf?

does PRIVACY means anything to anyone?

god... i really dunno how much longer can i stay alive under such circumstances.
i know i'd one day die of stroke.

iknow i need to go to church.
i definitely need to pray for strength (which i always do)
i need peace of mind and heart

am back in spore and have a flt today evening to auckland.
this is confirmed gonna be a check flt.
need to read up. crap.

had 4 wonderful days back home in kl.
manage to buy all the things i wanted.
that included a pair of notsoexpensive boots, a few nice tops;
all from sungei wang.
also manage to give my fringe a trim.
it was too long for me.
not forgetting my facial.
all rejuvenated now!

spent some time with my darling Million
(in case you didnt know, Million is my shih tzu. 8yrs old now)
he has got this ulcer in his eyes and doctor said hemust avoid rubbing his eyes
hence he has to wear this cone thingie.
poor little thing

also spent time with family and had so much fun getting together
going for family dinners and shopping and cofffee chat and so much more
i've always believed..
Home is where the Heart is.
regardless who, what, where....
nothing beats your homesweethome

mum marintated 7 pieces of chicken for me again!
all i do is just put them in the freezer.
whenever i wanna eat 'em, i just defrost 'em and give it a good steam.
what do you get?
a healthy piece of steam chicken with less fat.
good source of protein :)

i love mama!!!
mum makes the BEST cooking in the world.
and i miss her so much...

have a cts flt on thursday to auckland.
i'll be just fine.

so many things to do.. yet so little time.
bringing my little MILLION for vaccination tomorrow.

bland dinner

had dinner wt my monkey buddies today
-that includes jac, faz, Is and me!

had no idea wat to eat, we bum around orchard and decided to do Spageddies inside Paragon.
food wasn't that good.
had this baked penne and it was rather too bland for my liking.
jac had some fettucine-just as bland

verdict : NOT RECOMMENDED

orchard is so ready for christmas.
can't wait to have my own sweet time strolling down the perfect lit-up streets.
wt atmosphere so colourful and bright, it's definitely gonna be a great time.
BETTER when you've got someone to hold...

but.. shopping alone isn't that bad aferall..
(in fact i love it)
i can have all the time in the world.. haha

landlords aren't cool

let me talk a little bout landlords today.

this is my first time living out on my own and of course, i had to rent a place.
i got this room in a condo unit with 2 senior members as landlords. and another room tenanted to a girl named Ling.

as you can read "senior members". they are generally nice people but when it comes to $$ they are a lil calculative. senior people are very 'pinching'.

you can't open the tap too big coz water runs too fast - meter runs high.
then i got confronted not to use two lights in my room at the same time. use one at a time- their electricity bill went up.
weird stuff like, male guests around, you can't close your room door. (as if i'll bring any bf home..puhleasee..)
nags like, "you always forget this, always forget that.. this that this that"
the issues are non stop arising. just this morning he asked to boil water from the kettle already. we used to do it wt the electrical boiler. now he claims that gas is cheaper, do it wt kettle. electric expensive..

omg... someone just shoot me now.

let me explain WHY would i be frustrated.

no.1) i'm a good tenant that gives minimal problem... infact NONE!
no.2) i pay full rental but only utilises HALF. i'm barely around!!you know my job...
no.3) i'm quite thrifty myself coz i dun really use the aircon 24-7 like how other princesses do..(isnt that already saving?)
no.4) i keep the room clean and don't give problems/mess

everytime., without fail. there are bound to be issues. either cannot do this or don't do that or please do this or just do that...

my sister will be coming over for christmas and she's gotta stay wt me or else wherecan she go?
the landlady can tell me this ..
"christina, you just pay something lah.. y'know, she'll be using electricity, water....."

excuse YOU.. you wanna be so calculative? wat bout the full rental payment? i barely utilise half.
i'm barely around, i barely use your freaking water boiler or watsoever you claim that the bill is so expensive. do you think i'd boil water 24-7, every minute of the day?

wtf.. k****land people are very calculative! wat more.. AGED.

i would love to shift but it's a difficult decision. gotta find the perfect location AGAIN. my place is considered BEST (for me lah).

right outside there's a busstop. direct bus to town. even the bus from airport stops directly there too! i'm so thrifty i take bus home after turnaround flights... ok.....

well... i believe god will provide. this place is going en-bloc soon.
it's a matter of tme i have to shift.

just praying for the strength that i can keep sane till then.

and yesterdya's standby was changed to off day and currently on another standby.

decided to go out for lunch wt ling (my housemate)
and then see how the rest of the day goes.

had 2 weetbix and a cup of yoghurt earlier.
